Last Days to Order 2025 Calendar!

Just a quick reminder that orders for my 2025 Calendar close in 2 days on September 12, so get in quick if you’d like one!

  • The Making of My Calendars

    The Making of My Calendars

Making a calendar is a longer process than it may seem on the surface…at least for me! So rather than just tell you about my calendar, I thought I’d share with you the process I go through making it each year.

  • A New Beginning

    A New Beginning

Thank you so much for your patience with my absence from all forms of communication over the last few months: YouTube, my newsletter and social media. Despite appearances, I’ve been incredibly busy working on things behind the scenes – predominantly giving my website a complete overhaul.

  • Balancing Photography

    Balancing Photography

Creating videos while out photographing can be a challenge, and it can sometimes cause me toย not be as focussed (excuse the pun) on my photography as I’d otherwise be. However it can also be a useful tool for me to notice things about my photography that escape me whilst in the field.

    Why Love This Moment?

I was a very analytical person. It’s probably why I studied Information Technology after leaving school, ultimately becoming a Systems and Database Analyst.

  • The photo is not the goal

The photo is not the goal

Am Iย the only one who had the idea as a beginner in landscape photography,ย that once I learnt “how to take photos” Iย would regularly create breath-taking images to proudly hang on my wall?

  • The Value of Beauty

    The Value of Beauty

The more time that passes, the more I am convinced of the importance of beauty in our lives. Not only does the appreciation of beauty bring us so much positive – peace, joy, wonder and more – but it helps us to be better people too. Happier people. Kinder people. More thoughtful. More careful and caring.

  • A Defining Image

    A Defining Image

What better place to start than with the first landscape photo Iย took that Iย was really proud of.ย It was March 2004 and I was travelling around the South Island of New Zealand by myself before flying to the UK for what would end up being an 8 month backpacking holiday while I tried to work out what I would do with the rest of my life.

About Lisa

I am a photographer, poet, film maker and writer, who adores nature, and enjoys getting outside in all sorts of weather.

I am blessed to live on the Gold Coast, Australia, with my partner Danny, and every now and then we get to explore other parts of the world together.

We are lucky to live near the bush, with an abundance of wildlife visiting our backyard, such as wallabies, possums, bees, butterflies, dragonflies, and even the occasional koala and carpet python.

There are also more birds than I can mention – magpies, currawongs, rosellas, kookaburras, scrub turkeys, cockatoos and king parrots are just a few.

Read more about how I got started in landscape photography.
