Austria

During the autumn of 2018, Danny and I went on a wonderful trip to Germany, with a little side-trip to a picturesque, if odd, part of Austria. Hallstatt is certainly picture perfect, but it was so over-run by tourists it felt like a warped Disneyland. During our time there we coined the phrase, “Come for the day, don’t stay,” to sum up our feelings about the place. Despite that, we had some of our most enjoyable outdoor experiences in Austria, and are planning to explore some other (hopefully less touristy) parts of the Austrian Alps in the not too distant future!
