Granite Belt

So named because of its unique landscape of granite outcrops, the Granite Belt plateau lies between 700 and 1,300 meters above sea level. It includes the boulder-strewn wonders of Girraween National Park, as well as the magnificent Bald Rock – the largest granite monolith in Australia. The open bushland found in Bald Rock National Park is one of my favourites!
